SMD resistor codes
3-digit: two digits + multiplier, e.g. 472 = 47 × 10² = 4.7 kΩ. 4-digit: three digits + multiplier, e.g. 1002 = 100 × 10² = 10 kΩ. R-notation puts R as the decimal point: 4R7 = 4.7 Ω, R47 = 0.47 Ω, 4R7 means 4.7.
EIA-96 (two digits + letter) encodes 1% values: the number is a code for a base value (e.g. 10 → 124) and the letter is the multiplier. "01B" = 100 × 10 = 1 kΩ.
